Our pre-purchased inspection also includes checking everything from the roof to the tires. We will make sure that all of the vehicle’s systems are working properly. We will also check the accessories and components for problems. We will inspect the tires to see if they are wearing down unevenly, and we will make certain that you can rely on the brake system among other things. We want to make sure the used car is not a lemon.
Inspecting the Engine
This includes inspecting the engine for wear and tear. This also means we will look at the fluids, filters, belts, and hoses, to make sure everything is in excellent condition. If we see signs of engine damage, we will alert you of the problem so you can choose another used car to purchase. You do not want to purchase an automobile that has damage of any type.
Running Diagnostics
Finally, we will run a diagnostic test to download any error codes that were sent to the engine control unit. If the test comes out clean, the vehicle should be in relatively good shape, provided it passes all of our other inspections. If the test downloads a ton of error codes, you should run in the opposite direction.
